Crown Equipment Corp., one of the world’s largest material handling companies, has acquired three new sales and service locations to support growing material handling needs throughout South Carolina.

The facilities, which are located in Duncan, near Greenville, Columbia and Ladson, near Charleston, S.C., formerly operated as Carolina Material Handling Services. As part of the transition with the previous owner, the locations will continue to be staffed and supported by the former Carolina Material Handling Services team. The Greenville Crown Lift Trucks facility, the largest of the three, is located at 929 Berry Shoals Road in Duncan and can be reached at 864-877-1288. The Columbia Crown Lift Trucks facility is located at 151 Greenlawn Drive, 803-695-0149, while the Charleston Crown Lift Trucks facility is located at 3611 Ladson Road in Ladson, 843-552-1020.

“The team at Carolina Material Handling Services has done a great job representing the Crown brand and providing excellent service and support to our growing list of customers in the state,” said Wayland Dabbs, general manager, Crown Equipment. “We are excited to begin this next chapter in Crown’s continued commitment to its customers in the region. No matter where they are located in the state, customers will have local access to Crown to collaboratively make material handling decisions.”

All three of the facilities provide customers a complete selection of material handling technologies, products and services. This includes forklifts, warehouse design solutions, parts and service, automated warehouse solutions and Crown’s wireless InfoLink fleet and operator management system. They also provide Crown’s training programs for forklift operators, supervisors, trainers and pedestrians.

The company’s global headquarters is in New Bremen, Ohio, with regional headquarters in Australia, China, Germany and Singapore.
