Herc Rentals will expand its Herc Rentals brand to Canada where the company has been trading as Hertz Equipment Rental, beginning the transition immediately.

“While it will take some time to fully convert our signage, fleet and showrooms, we are excited to begin the transition to using Herc Rentals as our main brand across our operations in Canada,” said Larry Silber, president and CEO of Herc Rentals. “We already operated as a unified North American team; now we are pleased to continue working together to serve our customers across North America under the same powerful Herc Rentals brand.”

“The opportunity to grow the Herc Rentals brand in Canada represents a unique moment in time for us to celebrate a rich history, having proudly operated for 20 years in Canada,” said Earl Ducharme, region vice president – Canada. “Focusing on the Herc Rentals brand in Canada will allow us to highlight what we are best at: motivated, aligned and engaged team members delivering the highest levels of customer service in the equipment rental industry.”

Herc Rentals, based in Bonita Springs, Fla., has approximately 40 locations and about 700 employees in Canada. Herc Rentals, No. 3 on the RER 100, has about 275 branches in North America.
