Sunbelt Rentals Acquires Above and Beyond Rentals

Sunbelt Rentals has acquired Above and Beyond Equipment Rentals, an equipment rental company specializing in the rental of scissorlifts, boomlifts and telehandlers based in Madison, Conn., in Fairfield County.

Sunbelt Rentals acquired the company for an initial cash consideration of $21 million, with an additional $500,000 payable over the next year depending on revenue meeting or exceeding certain thresholds.

Above and Beyond was founded in 2009 by Joseph Hill and grew into one of the largest independent equipment rental companies in New England, serving commercial, industrial and municipal markets.

Craft Partners LLC served as the exclusive financial advisor to Above and Beyond.
