Empire Roofing, a “top 100” roofing contractor, has taken delivery of the first six production models of the new Xtreme XR 1055 rough terrain telehandler from Xtreme Manufacturing.

Launched at ConExpo/ConAgg 2017, the new Xtreme XR1055 is designed to lift capacities up to 10,000 pounds and can reach height of up to 55 feet, and has a maximum forward reach of 40 feet, 7 inches. The high pivot telehandler is equipped with a heavy-duty steel frame, chassis and boom, as well as long-life boom, 360-degree visibility from the cab, and rollers that require minimal maintenance and deliver a smooth boom operation for precise handling of loads. The unit is powered by a 74-hp high torque 3.8-liter Cummins engine that requires no DEF or DPF.

The Xtreme XR1055 is now in full production in Henderson, Nev. Empire Roofing ordered the first six Xtreme XR1055s that came off the product line, painted in Empire’s colors.

Empire Roofing specializes in commercial, industrial and institutional roof replacement, repair and maintenance and was No. 8 in the Top 100 Roofing Contractor List 2017, published by Roofing Contractor magazine. The company is based in Fort Worth, Texas, and has 11 locations in the United States and two in Mexico.

The six Xtreme XR1055 telehandlers will be deployed immediately into the Empire Roofing equipment fleet in Texas, assisting with roof replacement projects on multiple sites.

“These six units will be deployed for many jobs, including delivery of roof top equipment, safety equipment and materials,” said Ronnie McGlothlin, founder and president of Empire Roofing. “We take jobsite safety seriously, and features like the 360-degree operator visibility from the cab will make a big difference to our operators. We also have multiple tasks where we can utilize the built-in machine-rated boom lift point to improve productivity.”

Xtreme Manufacturing was founded in 2003 and is headquartered in Henderson, Nev.
