Cardinal Sales, respected Brooklyn, N.Y.-based manufacturers’ rep firm, is celebrating 30 years of service to the rental industry, president Pat DeVitto said. The group was formed in 1987 by Devitto and Mike Bowell, and has represented many leading suppliers in the industry. Cardinal has achieved its success by adhering to three focus principles: manufacturers’ reps will have more impact in equipment distribution over time; the equipment customers in our territory were and continue to be underserved; and there were many good manufacturers that needed representation in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic markets.

“I credit our success and longevity to the Cardinal sales team,” DeVitto told RER. “We’ve had virtually no turnover for over 20 years and when we did, Cardinal added young aggressive salesmen that further enhanced our efforts. We have a solid base of well-established customers who value the role the manufacturers’ rep agency plays in their product selection. This partnership between the customer, the sales team and the manufacturers has been the sole focus of Cardinal Sales since its inception and will continue to be the driving force for the future”.

Cardinal and its nine independent reps cover 12 states from Maine to Virginia, representing both domestic and global manufacturers. Cardinal represents Air Tow Trailers, Battery Demister, Bluebird, Bosch, Boxer,  Club car, Chicago Pneumatic, Crown mixers, Dynapac rollers, Electric Eel, Ekso, Frost Fighter, General Equipment, Heat King, ICS, IHI excavators, Koshin, Laymor, Mi-T-M Corp., National Signal,  Nifty Lift, Norton , Plasticade, Sima,  Surewerx, Star Industries, Wagman, Wyco vibrators and Vulcan Tool Steel.
