Durante Rentals, a four-time Inc. 5000 winner, has hired Mitch Garfinkel to a senior sales position with the company. Garfinkel brings almost four decades of construction equipment sales experience to the company, where he will be responsible to expand Durante’s new and used sales divisions as well as future stages of expansion.

Garfinkel got his first opportunity as a sales rep for a line of diamond blade products. Within a couple of years he found success selling skid-steer loaders, telehandlers, and other lines of construction equipment. Garfinkel moved to a new position as a manufacturer’s sales representative. He introduced cutting-edge sales processes that are still a staple in the industry. In 1991, he opened his own wholesale, retail and export equipment company supplying equipment to customers all over the country. After many successful years, a new opportunity presented itself to build a thriving New Jersey-based equipment dealership from the ground up.

“Mitch brings his dynamic personality and countless years of experience to the position,” said Durante Rentals co-founder Anthony Durante. “We are thrilled to have him on the team as Durante Rentals continues to grow.”

“It is a privilege and honor to be a part of Durante Rentals,” Garfinkel said. “I am excited for the opportunity to apply my expertise in all areas of equipment sales and rentals. I have known Durante Rentals co-founders John and Anthony for 34 years and I am condient Durante Rentals will be the final stop along my career path.”

Garfinkel will be based at the Flushing, Queens, N.Y., office of Durante Rentals.
