Georgia Caterpillar dealer Yancey Brothers plans to build a 55,000-square-foot facility in Bibb County on a 26-acre parcel of land the company acquired about 10 years ago, according to Georgia press reports. The Macon-Bill County Planning & Zoning Commission this week approved an application to build the facility.
Plans include a main building for offices, warehouse and service. A separate 9,520-square-foot shop will be built as well as an 8,400-square-foot wash building. A future rental store will also be built on the land.
One of the country’s oldest Caterpillar dealers, based in Austell, Ga., Yancey Brothers also has a large rental program, and is No. 58 on the RER 100.
