Acme Lift Co. has hired Scott Hoglander, a 25-year rental industry veteran, as senior vice president of Great Lakes operations. Acme Lift is the world’s largest wholesale rental company, specializing in re-rental of the biggest boomlifts, telehandlers and portable air compressors. Hoglander joins Acme Lift from ReEquip Solutions, where he was East region sales manager responsible for re-renting large boomlifts.

“Scott brings nearly 25 years of valuable rental industry experience to his new position at Acme Lift,” said Woody Weld, Acme Lift chairman and CEO. “In the past, he has also been involved, on a much smaller scale, in the re-rental segment of the rental business. I believe that Acme Lift’s enormous fleet of nearly new U.S.-manufactured aerial lifts combined with our always expanding financial and operational capabilities will allow Scott to bring his customers better service and value than he could ever have supplied previously. I am very pleased that he has joined the Acme team.”

Prior to his stint with ReEquip Solutions, Hoglander was a district manager for BlueLine Equipment, formerly Volvo Rents, for four years.

“Scott was a great asset for us at the former Volvo Rents,” said Mike Crouch, Acme Lift’s president and chief operations officer who worked in executive positions at Volvo Rents before joining Acme Lift. “He is a true rental veteran and well-respected in the industry. He’s going to be a tremendous asset to the team that we continue to build.”

Hoglander was sales manager for GAR Equipment Corp. from 2008 to 2012 and special accounts manager for Hertz Equipment Corp. from 2005 to 2008. He also worked as a sales representative for United Rentals from 1999 to 2005.

“Getting the opportunity to grow with a company that has so many industry veterans who have a common goal is an exciting opportunity,” said Hoglander.
