United Rentals has appointed Ted Grace as vice president-investor relations, effective immediately. Grace will be responsible for managing communications between the company’s leadership, its investors and the broader financial community. Grace replaces Fred Bratman, who will assist with the transition until his upcoming retirement.

Grace has more than 20 years of experience in financial services. Most recently, he was a senior analyst with Susquehanna International Group covering the industrial machinery and building materials sector. Before Susquehanna, Grace was vice president at Avondale Partners with responsibility for the building materials, construction and mining equipment research group; a member of the equity research team at Goldman Sachs & Co.; a member of the natural resources group at Banc of America Securities; and an associate at PaineWebber.

“Ted Grace is uniquely qualified to represent our company to investors,” said Michael Kneeland, president and CEO of United Rentals. “He has followed United Rentals for years as part of his research portfolio, and he understands the dynamics of the equipment rental industry. Ted will inherit the strong investor relationships forged by Fred Bratman over 12 years with our company. I want to thank Fred for his many contributions and I look forward to working closely with Ted to further our relations with the investment community.”

Based in Stamford, Conn., United Rentals is No. 1 on the RER 100.
