Terex Aerial Work Platforms, manufacturer of Genie lifts, will open a new facility in Redmond, Wash., in December. Already headquartered in Redmond, the manufacturer will consolidate buildings to provide more than 100,000 square feet of work space for its more than 400 employees.
“Bringing our extended team from multiple buildings into a single location has been a long-term goal for me and I look forward to finally seeing us together,” said Matt Fearon, president of Terex AWP. “This is an opportunity to work in closer proximity, improve communications and increase the speed with which we serve our customers.”
The new building will feature a pictorial Genie history timeline, coinciding with Genie’s 50th anniversary. The company was founded in Kirkland, Wash., in 1966. The building will house a guest lounge, a glass showroom filled with a range of Genie equipment, a training room and an auditorium.
The transition will take place in a series of three moves in December. Contact information will remain the same with the exception of a new address, 6464 185th Ave. NE, Redmond, WA 98052.
