National Trench Safety Hires Veteran Trainer Wendell Wood

National Trench Safety has hired Wendell Wood, an experienced trench safety veteran, to join its customer training division.

National Trench Safety has hired Wendell Wood, an experienced trench safety veteran, to join its customer training division. NTS, based in Houston, specializes in rental and sales of trench and traffic safety equipment, trench and traffic safety engineering, and OSHA-compliant training classes.

National Trench Safety has continually placed a premium on offering its customers a comprehensive, high quality training program, under the leadership of director of training Mario Vasquez.

Wood is one of the most experienced and well-known individuals within the trench safety industry, said Ron Chilton, president of NTS. He has more than three decades of experience, including product sales specialist, product application specialist, distribution manager and safety trainer. Wood has worked with the Excavation Safety Standard since the early 1980s, having conducted training programs with Dr. Jack Mickle, one of the primary authors of the standard. Wood has also served as an expert representative before congressional hearings on the Excavation Safety Standard.

NTS operates 26 coast to coast branch locations in the United States.
