Allied Insurance Brokers has hired two new specialists for its construction equipment industry team.
Bill Ferguson has been named producer for the eastern United States, and will be charged with growing and developing Allied’s east coast midsized accounts within the equipment rental, crane and concrete pumping industries. Ferguson owned and operated a multi-location rental company for 10 years and has more than 15 years of experience in the commercial insurance industry with companies such as Liberty Mutual and Henderson Brothers.
“My goal is to significantly grow Allied’s book of business within my targeted territory by using my background to create risk management programs specific to my industries and aimed at helping our customers,” Ferguson said.
Allied also hired Richard McElhaney as assistant vice president – safety and risk management. As head of Allied’s newly formed Safety and Risk Management department, McElhaney is charged with optimizing, promoting and delivering Allied’s solutions-driven services.
Allied, founded in 1982, is a nationwide property and casualty insurance broker focused exclusively on the equipment rental, party goods, concrete pumping, cranes, scaffold, wood products, and non-profit and health and human service industries.
