MacAllister Seeks Tax Credits on New Headquarters Project

MacAllister Machinery, Indiana Caterpillar dealer is asking Indianapolis city officials for about $2.7 million in tax breaks on its 300,000-square-foot office and service complex project, the Indiana Business Journal reports. Total cost for the project is estimated at $44.5 million.

MacAllister is targeting December, 2016, for completion of the new facility, which will house sales, rental, parts, equipment service and administrative operations. The facility would include 30,000 square feet of office space, an 8,000-square-foot technology center, a 180,000-square-foot service and repair center, and a 40,000-square-foot storage building, with additional areas for equipment display.

The company is eligible for tax credits because of its plans to create jobs.
