Skyjack Machines Used in Painting Marquee at Historic Wrigley Field

Three aerial work platforms manufactured by Skyjack were used by painters to re-paint the marquee at Chicago’s legendary Wrigley Field, the second oldest active major league ballpark. The marquee was painted green and gold to celebrate its 100-year anniversary. The colors replicated the original look of the marquee.

Painters used the SJ 6832RT and SJ66T machines. The 6832, a rough-terrain scissorlift, has a raised platform height of 32 feet, corresponding to a working height of 38 feet. With a 56-inch by 96-inch platform, a 60-inch turning radius and 40-percent gradeability the painters could maneuver the unit on the busy intersection of Clark and Addison. The SJ6832RT is drivable at full height with the roll-out deck extended.

The SJ66T telescopic boom has a working height of 72 feet, a horizontal reach of 57 feet and weight capacity of 27,300 pounds.
