Komatsu will begin commercial production of its Tier 4 final engines later this month, the company said. Komatsu technologies include next-generation, high-pressure common rail fuel injection, high-efficiency exhaust gas recirculation, variable geometry turbocharger, and a diesel particulate filter.
Komatsu has also developed a newly designed selective catalytic reduction device.
All Komatsu Tier 4 final construction machines come with Komatsu Care, which provides scheduled factory maintenance for the first 2,000 hours or three years, which includes a 50-point inspection at each service; and two complimentary KDPF exchanges in the first five years.
