National Pump & Compressor, one of the largest pump rental companies in the United States, continued its expansion along the Gulf Coast with the grand opening of a full-service branch in Lake Charles, La. The opening gives the company 32 branches. While the primary focus will be to serve the refining and petrochemical industries, the Lake Charles branch will also provide customers and the surrounding community with 24-hour rentals, sales and services for large-scale flood control, disaster recovery, pulp and paper and municipal applications.
“The industries NPC serves along the Gulf Coast present unique pump challenges,” said regional sales manager Ross Derouen. “Our Lake Charles team is thoroughly qualified in both technical pump education and on-site experience to meet these challenges. NPC succeeds by cultivating talented teams of engineers, salesmen, and support staff who work together to ensure an unparalleled customer experience. We will continue to push for excellence in our Lake Charles operation using this same ‘whatever it takes’ approach. On a personal note, Lake Charles is my home town and I am excited for the opportunity to serve this area.”
Lake Charles branch manager, Austin Swindle, is an NPC veteran. Swindle has been with the company at the Beaumont branch for more than four years and has risen through the ranks with his excellent work ethic, expert mechanical proficiency, and dedication, NPC said.
Daniel Legnion will serve as local sales representative. Legnion most recently worked in sales at NPC-Houston. Legnion has friend and family ties to Louisiana.
“Ultimately we plan to have a branch within one hour of every major industrial facility on the Gulf Coast,” said Jason Pyle, NPC vice president of operations. “With the grand opening of NPC-Lake Charles and business developing at its current pace, we can conservatively expect to reach this goal within the next 18 months.”
