Volvo Rents, a worldwide provider of small-to-medium sized construction equipment, recently awarded its Miami, Ariz., location with the company’s regional quarterly safety award.
The Safety Award of the Quarter program was launched in January and recognizes the Volvo Rents location that embodies one of the company’s most core values: safety. Locations are selected in each region based on their overall commitment to safety for all employees, customers and the general public.
“Safety is a core value at Volvo Rents,” said Mike Henderson, West Region safety manager for Volvo Rents. “We’ve created a safety program, manual and orientation process that all employees must adhere to. The program promotes a safe work environment for not only our employees, but extends throughout our customer base.”
Branch manager Kevin Hubbard received the regional award on behalf of his team. Hubbard has been recognized for his continued leadership while maintaining an above-average level of excellence in the location’s safety performance and dedication to safety as a Volvo Rents’ core value.
“We are honored to receive an award recognizing our efforts to promote such a fundamental value,” said Hubbard. “Continuing to put our customers and community first, we look forward to continued success and recognition in the community as well as representing the Volvo Rents brand for its safety and consumer-oriented values.”
The Miami, Ariz., location maintains a zero-accident and incident culture through its dedication to clean working conditions and housekeeping while implementing best practices in management. In addition, the branch’s drivers continue to set the bar for clean roadside inspections and meet and exceed all safety standards.
