Tractor & Equipment Co., a Caterpillar dealer serving Montana, northwestern North Dakota, Wyoming’s Bighorn Basin and Yellowstone Park, celebrated the grand opening of its second facility in Williston, N.D., roundupweb.com reported. The 42,100-square-foot building opened for business last month. The company has been growing rapidly in the area, particularly because of the Bakken shale gas play.
T&E, originally formed as a Caterpillar dealer in 1929 in Sidney, Mont., is believed to be the largest player in the Bakken area with more than 700 machines, providing Caterpillar heavy equipment, mobile generators, scissorlifts, light towers and more.
The main shop in the new facility is 24,300 square feet and has 12 service bays for rental fleet repair and maintenance.
T&E’s original location in Williston will continue to be the headquarters for Caterpillar machinery sales, parts and service, generator and engine parts and service, vocational truck sales and truck engines.
