Patterson Pump Proceeds on Major New Orleans Flood Control Project
The Gorman-Rupp Co. this week reported that its Patterson Pump Co. subsidiary has been reaffirmed as the supplier of pumps for the Permanent Canal Closures and Pumps project with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District. This significant project was originally awarded in October 2012, but was challenged by unsuccessful bidders.
The PCCP Constructors, a joint venture, which will be utilizing Patterson pumps, has received a notice from the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers to proceed with the project. The value of the pumps that will be supplied by Patterson Pump is estimated to be between $60 and $65 million over the three-year project period.
“We are extremely proud to be the supplier of pumps for this major New Orleans project and look forward to working with PCCP Constructors and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers,” said Jeffrey Gorman, president and CEO. “This is a very important project for the greater New Orleans area.”
The Gorman-Rupp Co. is based in Mansfield, Ohio.
