Komatsu to Absorb Utilities Division

Komatsu, the world’s second-largest construction equipment manufacturer has decided to carry out an absorption-type merger to organizationally integrate its Komatsu Utilities business. Komatsu said the merger, effective April 1, will enhance its product competitiveness and efficiency by integrating its development operations, enabling it to more rapidly grow overseas markets and strengthen its human resources development.

The Komatsu Utilities division produces and sells forklift trucks and mini construction equipment.
