Bellingham, Wash.-based Birch Equipment Rental and Sales is extending its incentive to participate in the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program by adding an additional 10 percent to whatever a partnering business donates.

Earlier this season, the company introduced new gift cards for equipment rentals and retail purchases at any of its locations. Customers can earn a $10 Birch Equipment gift card for their generosity. Shoppers who donate at least $50 in toys purchased online at www.birchequipment.com or in-store will receive a $10 Birch gift card now through December 22. The company offers hundreds of toys including construction-themed, educational and recreational toys and art and gardening supplies.

“I had a customer in the other day who bought $100 dollar gift cards for his staff and $10 cards for their kids,” said Jordan Mellich, Bellingham store manager. “He likes that his team can get a weed-eater, rental product, and get some cool product not found anywhere else, while still supporting a local business.”

Drop boxes for the 2010 Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program are located at all stores.
