Sugar Grove, Ill.-based Metrolift recently supplied a Genie Z80 boomlift to Strata Contractors Ltd, which has been the maintenance contractor at Wrigley Field for the past 23 years. The boomlift was used to install the new banners that flank the famous Chicago Cubs marquis at the front of the stadium.
The Ricketts family, which purchased the Chicago franchise from the Tribune Co. last year, has been busy making improvements to the historic stadium, including a new mezzanine suite, a large window that allows fans to look into the batting cage in right center field, and the removal of concrete panels in the lower grandstand area that affords a more open feeling.
