Thompson Pump last week hosted a customer event at its Kansas City, Kan., branch, offering seminars on bypass pumping and site dewatering to customers including local municipalities, engineers, distributors and contractors.

The pump bypass seminar included information on planning and designing bypass projects, including best practices and discussions on a variety of past projects and applications completed by Thompson. The wellpoint dewatering session provided an overview of different product offerings, capabilities, best practices, methods of installation for various applications, and highlighted efficiencies of the company’s pumps.

The company hosts branch events to continually educate customers on the importance of planning and being prepared for every project before work begins. “Every job is different, and a lot of times it’s hard to know until you get in there and start working on the jobsite,” said Drew Mathews, Thompson Pump sales representative.

More than 50 people attended the event, receiving tours of the equipment and the facility, as well as a barbecue lunch.

Headquartered in Port Orange, Fla., Thompson Pump is No. 60 on the RER 100.
