Volvo Construction Equipment Rents last week announced the opening of a new Volvo Rents equipment rental franchise in New Braunfels, Texas, a suburb of San Antonio. It is the company’s fifth rental center in the state; others are in Houston, Austin, McKinney (Dallas), and Donna (McAllen).
NRL San Antonio Rentals, LP, owned by franchise principals Bob Balli, Marcel and Dwight Bosworth, and Butch Thomas, officially opened its first Volvo Rents center in New Braunfels at the end of October. The new Volvo Rents center, an independently owned and operated franchise, will carry, in addition to Volvo construction equipment, a comprehensive line of essential equipment and tools for the construction, commercial, industrial and homeowner markets.
Balli’s NRL Rentals and Bosworth Nevada Investments are also principal owners of the Volvo Rents franchise in Las Vegas, which opened in March 2002.
The Volvo Rents franchise program was designed by Volvo CE and covers all aspects of an operating business model. Features include use of the Volvo brand, financial assistance, a fleet purchasing program for non-Volvo products, a Volvo Rents proprietary software program, operational support and guidance, comprehensive training in systems, sales, service, and management, as well as facility design and regional and local marketing.
Asheville, N.C.-based Volvo Rents has 70 equipment rental centers open in North America, 66 centers in Europe and one in Mexico. It is No. 15 on the RER 100.
