Sources close to JLG Industries confirmed to RER this week that the company has cancelled its participation in the 2011 Rental Show. JLG said its cancelation was not related to economic pressures, nor with any issues related to the American Rental Association and its management of the rental industry’s largest trade show.

The source said with ConExpo scheduled three weeks after the Rental Show, also in Las Vegas, and with many of its customers opting to attend ConExpo, it made more sense to concentrate its efforts on the latter event.

"JLG will continue to support ARA, which is an important and valued association that provides excellent support and leadership for the rental industry,” said the source. “However, with many of its customers and distribution partners limiting trade show attendance, they thought it best to focus their efforts towards their presence at the upcoming ConExpo show."

The Rental Show will be held at Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, from Feb. 27 through March 2. ConExpo will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, March 22-26.
