True Value Names New Rental Chief

True Value Co. has named Eric Lane vice president of specialty businesses, overseeing retail identities and niche businesses including the rental division, which encompasses Grand Rental Station, Just Ask Rental and Taylor Rental. Lane will also oversee True Value’s Home & Garden Showcase, International and MRO - Maintenance, Repair and Operations.

True Value Co. has named Eric Lane vice president of specialty businesses, overseeing retail identities and niche businesses including the rental division, which encompasses Grand Rental Station, Just Ask Rental and Taylor Rental. Lane will also oversee True Value’s Home & Garden Showcase, International and MRO - Maintenance, Repair and Operations.

Lane most recently served as business development director of retail growth where he was responsible for profitable retail sales growth including the opening of new stores and the expansion and remodeling of existing ones. Before that, Lane led the company’s two-year Enterprise Management System initiative, served for six years in eBusiness and retail systems, and spent 10 years in marketing and merchandising roles. He began his career at Servistar in merchandising, buying and field management.

Lane replaces Fred Kirst who retired effective February 11 after a 19-year career with the company.
