The UAW and Caterpillar Inc. last week reached a new, six-year tentative labor agreement that covers nearly 9,500 hourly production and maintenance workers at Caterpillar facilities in Illinois, Colorado, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.
Both parties are pleased to have a tentative agreement in place and believe it positions workers and the company to succeed long term, UAW said.
The UAW has scheduled a ratification vote for the weekend of March 5.
No further details on this tentative contract are being released, and the company and union have agreed to make no further public comment on the tentative agreement pending the results of the ratification vote.
