The company is named for Thomas “Duke” Terry, father of current president and managing member David Terry. The company began doing business in 2003 and offers construction rental equipment, building materials and ice-control products for construction, commercial and industrial markets.

Terry told the Journal that the company started in a small trailer in 2003 and now has more than 50 employees. He said going independent will allow the company to expand its product offering to include other national brands and additional services.

Duke Co. has made the Rochester Top 100 list of the area’s fastest-growing private companies each of the past five years.
