Construction Machinery Technology & Management Magazine, Beijing, China, and Manfredi & Associates, Mundelein, Ill., announced during the Bauma China exhibit last week that they have signed a joint venture agreement to publish Chinese and English language newsletters about construction and mining machinery companies operating in the two regions.

CMTM will translate Machinery Outlook Newsletter — published by M&A — into Chinese and publish it in its monthly magazine. Chinese readers will be able to become more familiar with western equipment manufacturers, distributors and suppliers. CMTM will eventually publish Machinery Outlook China in Chinese.

M&A will translate into English and publish information about Chinese manufacturers, distributors and suppliers operating in China from content provided by CMTM, and eventually publish a monthly newsletter, Machinery Outlook China, in English.

Machinery Outlook China will include current market trends and analysis, activities of equipment manufacturers, equipment distributors and equipment rental companies in their respective regions as well as drivers of demand and government policies that influence construction equipment markets.

In a joint statement, Xianbiao Zhou, director of CTMT and Frank Manfredi, publisher of Machinery Outlook said, “China is emerging as a major player in the worldwide construction equipment marketplace. Chinese companies are interested in the activities of western manufacturers; U.S. companies are interested in the activities of Chinese manufacturers in their home markets and in the Chinese market as well as abroad.”
