Moline, IL.- The American Rental Association this week announced double-digit growth in both the number of attendees and the number of rental businesses represented at The Rental Show in New Orleans earlier this month. Attendance for 2012 increased nearly 20 percent over 2011, with the number of rental businesses up nearly 25 percent, ARA said, though actual attendance figures were not released.

“The Rental Show demonstrated that this industry continues to be a driving force in our economy,” said Christine Wehrman, ARA executive vice president and CEO. “I foresee a very favorable year for the rental industry in 2012 with equipment rental penetration increasing and a fundamental shift toward the value of rental by the customer base.”

The Rental Show 2013 is scheduled for Feb. 10-13 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas.

ARA is an international trade association for the owners of equipment rental businesses and the manufacturers and suppliers of construction/industrial, general tool and party/event rental equipment.
