SMS Equipment, the largest Komatsu dealer in North America, expanded its British Columbia operations with a new branch location in Chetwynd, B.C. The facility, with a 7,500 square-foot building is located in an industrial park, and sits on a 3.5-acre lot allowing for further expansion. The branch will support the mining, construction, forestry and utility industries in the Chetwynd and Tumbler Ridge regions.
General manager Chris Hort said the company is looking for an additional 15 local service technicians to support its customers.
SMS Equipment, based in Acheson, Alberta, Canada, is No. 54 on the RER 100.
