Asheville, N.C. — Jeff Bleecker and Lance Evic, owners of Arizona Equipment Rental, a Volvo Rents franchise, recently opened a Volvo Rents branch in Eloy, Ariz., their fourth location.
“We are very pleased with our business model and the economic success we have been able to achieve as a big player in our market,” said Evic. “When we started Lance and I had the same thought, to carve out a little niche in Tucson and make a decent business for ourselves. But it has turned out to be much more than that.”
Bleecker and Evic opened their first Volvo Rents facility in Tucson, Ariz., in April 2005. They expanded to Thatcher, Ariz., in September 2006, and Miami, Ariz., in October 2007.
Bleecker told RER the company will open its fifth branch in the mountain community of Show Low, Ariz., hopefully in February. “We have the facility in Show Low and we have the fleet,” Bleecker said. “We just have a few details to nail down.” The new acquisitions make Arizona Equipment Rental one of the leading players in the southern and central regions of Arizona with a large fleet and substantial customer base.
Volvo Rents has 83 equipment rental centers in North America, 77 in Europe (Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Poland and Austria), and one in Mexico. Based in Asheville, N.C., Volvo Rents is No. 17 on the RER 100.
