Atlas Copco opened the doors to its 14th U.S. store recently in Phoenix. Nearly 100 customers attended a grand opening for presentations on equipment features.

The 9,050-square-foot facility is situated on a 2.5-acre lot and features three pull-through bays. Atlas Copco chose the Phoenix location to support the region’s large customer base in drilling, blasting and paving.

“[Customers] are happy to have another supplier for equipment and services locally,” said salesman Greg Ayers. “We are excited to establish new working relationships and build and develop existing relationships.”

Manager Ed Greer heads up the Atlas Copco team at the store, including rental and service coordinator Jerry Delrae, project manager Tim Fagan, and customer service and parts manager David Arroyo.

“Phoenix is a center where the bulk of the business for blasting and drilling and paving is done,” Ayers said, adding that the location on the main crossroads of Interstate 17 and Pinnacle Peak Road and its proximity to major highways and ports make the new store convenient for customers.

Products available at the Phoenix location include Atlas Copco surface crawler drill rigs, road construction equipment, Dynapac compaction equipment, Atlas Copco Secoroc rock drilling tools, and Powercrusher mobile track-mounted crushers and screening equipment.
