WAUKESHA, Wis. — Safway Services, the industry's leading scaffolding rental specialist, last month acquired Waco Scaffolding & Equipment, a major provider of scaffolding, access equipment and services. Safway acquired the company in an auction held Nov. 10 as part of Waco's bankruptcy proceedings.

The sale was approved in bankruptcy court Nov. 14.
Based in Cleveland, Waco Scaffolding & Equipment sells, rents, assembles and dismantles scaffolding and related access products for the construction and shipbuilding industries. Waco was founded in 1945 and has eight U.S. locations.
Safway Services, based in Waukesha, Wis., has about 85 branches in the U.S. and Canada and offers scaffolding and access solutions for commercial construction, industrial and infrastructure applications. It provides rental, sales, labor services, training, engineering, design, safety and project management. The company is No. 15 on the RER 100.
