Ashtead Chairman Dies

Cob Stenham, non-executive chairman of Ashtead PLC died suddenly last week at the age of 74. Stenham joined the Ashtead board as a non-executive director in October 2003 and became non-executive chairman in January 2004, replacing Henry Staunton.

Ashtead is the parent company of Charlotte, N.C.-based Sunbelt Rentals and U.K. rental company A-Plant.
