Millville, N.J.-based Trico Lift last week announced it will be a Tool Sponsor of Habitat for Humanity's Annual Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project to be held this October in Washington, D.C.

The company is currently providing equipment support locally to a home being built in southern New Jersey by Cumberland County Habitat for Humanity. Trico donated a rough-terrain forklift that is being used primarily for hoisting materials.

"Trico Lift's involvement with the Habitat organization could not have come at a better time,” said Cumberland County Habitat project manager Joseph Santini. “Use of the lift has enabled us to set the trusses and lift the sheathing and shingles, which has increased our volunteers' productivity and saved their backs and spirits, too."

The Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project is an internationally recognized project that is held at different locations each year. The effort attracts volunteers from around the world. For this project, Trico Lift has contracted to donate use of an industrial forklift at the Washington, D.C. Habitat affiliate’s warehouse for the handling of project building materials.

"We're very glad to be participating in these local and national projects aimed at providing needed housing," said Ken Pustizzi, Trico Lift president and CEO. "One of our five key company goals is to be community-minded and responsive, and these efforts make it possible for us to make worthwhile contributions at this time."

Trico Lift is a full-service aerial work platform company with a significant presence in the construction arenas in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and, most recently, the Gulf regions. It is No. 45 on the RER 100.
