Compact Power Equipment Rental has come up with a mobile app to facilitate the rental of equipment such as backhoes, excavators and skid-steer loaders. Now available for download from Apple and Google Play, the Compact Power Equipment Rental app features a catalog of all the equipment that is available at nearby Home Depot locations for both homeowner and professional contractor jobs.

“We know that having the right tools for the job is the biggest factor in getting a job done right, on time and under budget,” said Richard Porter, Compact Power chief operating officer. “And so we wanted to make sure our customers would be able to access these tools as conveniently as possible.”

Compact Power customers can still rent online at http://compactpowerrents.com or in stores. Once customers download the free mobile app, the customer has to answer a few simple questions and can then request a delivery.

After the initial setup, customers can have access to these features:

  • Creating an account;
  • Access to both active and past rentals;
  • Re-rent past equipment rentals with one click;
  • Delivery to multiple addresses;
  • Select add-ons such as extra fuel or damage protection;
  • Access to Compact Power’s full rental catalog;
  • Customizable enterprise account features.

“From Uber to AirBnB, customers are increasingly realizing the benefits to renting versus buying,” said Porter. “Compact Power is bringing this same level of convenience to the construction and home improvement market.”

Compact Power Equipment Rental is available at more than 1,000 Home Depot locations in the United States and Canada. Equipment includes skid-steer loaders, aerial equipment, tractor loader backhoes, mini-excavators, trenchers, aerators, chipper/shredders and stump grinders.
