Qualcomm provider of business-to-business wireless enterprise applications and services and BorgSolutions, a business process applications developer, last week announced that BorgSolutions’ patent-pending fleet management platform. Astral is now fully integrated with Qualcomm’s GlobalTRACS and GlobalTRACS Lite equipment management systems. The new integration offers advanced fleet management and tracking capabilities from one web-based platform.

The companies have been working on the program since January 2007.

Built by fleet owners for fleet owners, BorgSolutions’ Astral is designed to help streamline maintenance, improve inventory management, reduce theft, manage employee productivity and maximize return on investment. Users can have a global view of all activities occurring between inventory, work orders, purchase orders and mechanical staff, enabling a single point of access to all crucial fleet information.

BorgSolutions is based in Austin, Texas. Qualcomm, already well known among many rental companies is based in San Diego.
