Lifting Gear Hire Corp. recently updated its website, www.lgh-usa.com. The new site is designed to provide a more streamlined and accessible user experience, including the ability to quickly find local representation and submit quote requests directly over the Internet.

“The old site was easy for LGH employees to navigate through and update information, but didn’t really provide a lot of functionality for our customers,” said Dan Barton, LGH sales and marketing coordinator. “The new site is much more user-friendly, and makes it easier for our customers to find, and get, the equipment they need.”

Among the site’s upgrades are a built-in search function that allows customers to search by zip code for their nearest LGH representative or the company’s closest facility. They can also submit quote requests directly over the Internet, instead of being referred to a phone number as on the old site. The new lgh-usa.com also hosts complete spec sheets and catalog information for all of the equipment offered by LGH, and features an RSS feed so customers can stay abreast of industry news, company developments and special offers.

“This new site helps keep us on the cutting edge of technology in our industry,” Barton said, adding that more capabilities are planned down the road. “We are doing the development in stages. This first stage was to streamline the layout and design. Phase two will be more behind-the-scenes as well as developing additional features that will make the site even better and easier to use.”

Headquartered in Bridgeview, Ill., Lifting Gear Hire Corp. is No 78 on the RER 100. It specializes in the rental of winching and material handling equipment. LGH has 11 locations in the United States, with sales support representatives in more than 25 states.
