SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. — Former RER publisher Fred Jaegle died last month from a torn dissected aortic aneurism. He was 46.
Jaegle joined the RER staff as an account executive in February 1986, becoming national sales manager shortly afterwards. Jaegle became publisher in December 1989 and held that position until he left the publication in 2000. Jaegle led the magazine through a period of considerable growth and founded RER's online newsletter RER Reports in 1996.
Jaegle was well-liked and highly respected by co-workers and rental industry people.
“It was a rare privilege and treasure to work alongside my good friend all those years in the rental industry,” said Tim Novoselski, former owner and publisher of RER magazine. “It was indicative of Fred's genuine spirit that he could relate so well with both rental center owners and the manufacturing community. He was honest, compassionate and a wonderful family man.
