Herc Rentals Acquires Southern California’s Summit Equipment Rentals
Herc Rentals recently acquired Summit Equipment Rentals, which has three facilities in Southern California, in Menifee, Chula Vista and its recently opened Garden Grove location. The acquisition expands Herc’s presence in the Los Angeles and San Diego markets. Summit serves customers in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Oceanside, Long Beach, Riverside, and the Inland Empire. The company has a large fleet of transportation vehicles and several regional field service technicians.
Herc Rentals is No. 3 on the RER 100 with more than 360 locations in North America. As of September 30, 2023, the company’s total rental fleet was approximately $6.2 billion at original equipment cost.
