Sunbelt Rentals recently acquired George’s Tool Rental Inc. in northern Pennsylvania. Since 1970, George’s Tool Rental has served northern Pennsylvania as a general equipment rental provider. The business has primarily supported the needs of local commercial contractors and DIYers through its fleet of light dirt, small tool, general tool, and aerial equipment.

“We are happy to welcome GTR to the Sunbelt Rentals team,” said a statement by Sunbelt Rentals on its website. “This exciting development increases our northern Pennsylvania footprint and provides GTR’s customers with access to a more diverse product and service offering. Backed by an expansive national network and a fleet in excess of $11 billion, Sunbelt Rentals is North America’s premiere equipment rental company and services a variety of customers through a highly diversified mix of rental equipment.

“With the addition of new General Tool & Equipment locations in Hatfield and Danboro, Pa., Sunbelt Rentals can better serve the greater Philadelphia market and western New Jersey by providing an effective rental solution for any project or job, including infrastructure, residential or commercial construction, facility maintenance, or homeowner applications.”

The Stansberry Firm represented George’s Tool Rental in the transaction.

Sunbelt Rentals, Fort Mill, S.C., is No. 2 on the RER 100.
