Sunbelt Rentals Acquires Four New Mexico and Texas BlueLine Rental Branches

Sunbelt Rentals last month acquired the business and assets of four branches of BlueLine Rentals in New Mexico and El Paso, Texas, for $27 million in cash. The branches are general equipment rental businesses.

Sunbelt Rentals last month acquired the business and assets of four branches of BlueLine Rentals in New Mexico and El Paso, Texas, for $27 million in cash. The branches are general equipment rental businesses.

The acquisition brings Sunbelt Rentals to the 600-location level. The company announced 596 branches at the end of parent company Ashtead’s fiscal quarter, Oct. 31. The purchase of the BlueLine branches took place Nov. 18.

On Nov. 22, A-Plant, Sunbelt’s U.K. sister company, acquired certain assets of Hewden Stuart from EY, the administrator of Hewden, for £29 million.

Sunbelt Rentals is No. 2 on the RER 100, BlueLine Rental is No. 5.
