Two European Manufacturers Acquire Generator Dealer FTG Solutions

International light tower manufacturer Trime S.R.L. and BGG Group’s Tecnogen Spa, an international generator manufacturer, have partnered to acquire their exclusive North America dealer FTG Equipment Solutions. Trime and Tecnogen are attempting to grow their presence in the North American equipment market.
All current FTG Equipment Solutions staff will remain with the company, the buyers said.
The acquisition will enable complete vertical integration from production through integration, the company said.
FTG managing director Steve Scattolini has been appointed president and CEO and will lead the North American operations for the company.
“We are very happy to have completed this acquisition which will strengthen the presence of our group in the North American market, as well as the international position of the group,” said Andrea Fontanella, chairman, and Paolo Tacconi, CEO of Trime. “North America represents the largest market in the world for lighting towers and, at this stage, is experiencing a deep change with an increasing interest in ‘green’ products, which are already widespread in Europe and where Trime has always played a leading position.”
“This acquisition has a strong strategic meaning as it allows the group to strengthen our presence in one of the most important markets in the world increasingly oriented to high quality products,” said Renato Bruno, CEO of BGG Group. “At the same time, this deal will enhance the work done during the past five years of collaboration with FTG, ensuring continuity of support for our end customer.”
Trime specializes in the design and production of LED diesel, hybrid, solar and battery light towers, dewatering pumps, fuel tanks, wash bays and hydraulic tools. BGG specializes in the production of generators, light towers, power stations and energy stations.
