Online Equipment Rental Specialist BigRentz Merges with Aerial Rental Specialist Lizzy Lift
BigRentz, the nation’s largest online equipment rental network, announced today that it has merged with Illinois-based Lizzy Lift, a nationwide and international provider of construction equipment rental service. The merger increases BigRentz’s client base, catalog and rental partner network.
Co-owned by sisters Jennifer DuBose-Lombard and Elizabeth Faruzzi for more than 20 years, Lizzy Lift is a provider of material handling equipment, mobile elevating work platforms including high capacity and specialty equipment, site services and more. Lizzy Lift will continue to own equipment and offer its equipment through the BigRentz marketplace while BigRentz gains Lizzy Lift’s client portfolio.
By joining BigRentz, Lizzy Lift’s clients will benefit from having access to the BigRentz automated platform to easily and quickly book equipment through the website or their own customer portal. Concierge-like customer service will remain a guiding principle for all clients.
“Jennifer and Elizabeth have grown a very successful business with a stellar reputation, and I look forward to having them be major contributors on the BigRentz leadership team,” said Scott Cannon, CEO of BigRentz. “We’re excited to lever Lizzy Lift’s lengthy industry experience, product knowledge, and long-term rental partner relationships which all our combined customers will benefit from.”
“Our goal has always been to make heavy equipment rentals easier for our clients by leveraging technology and automation,” said DuBose-Lombard, senior vice president. “BigRentz has the technology infrastructure that completely automates the equipment rental workflow and the user interface that makes it easier for clients to not just book rentals, but also invoice management and equipment logistics. It’s a win-win for our customers and BigRentz.”
“The vast majority of the Lizzy Lift business are with clients like our own that come to us because they have rental logistics challenges and they rely on people like Lizzy Lift and BigRentz to manage the rental process for them,” Cannon told RER. “The Lizzy Lift staff have equipment knowledge and relationships. We traditionally are relationships and technology so the addition of technology is going to benefit their customers from Day One.”
Terms of the merger were not disclosed.
