Crane Proven to be Valuable Resource

Elliott Equipment unveils a new crane with aerial work platform capabilities. The ECL-5-135 features a fully powered telescoping boom, with no jibs or extensions, that reaches its maximum working tip height of 135 feet. The unit features a very efficient design that allows it to be mounted on a standard tandem-axle truck chassis. Its narrow, 16-foot outrigger spread coupled with a fully powered boom allow it to operate in tight spaces.

With the addition of a rotating work platform, the product becomes a versatile productivity-increasing tool. Features include 135-foot tip height, 85-foot side reach and 10,000-pound crane capacity.

The unit mounts on conventional tandem-axle truck chassis, and it requires no extra axles or specialized carriers. It is fully powered while extending and retracting. A large 500-pound capacity 30- by 54-inch work platform easily accommodates two workers and accessories. All boom functions are proportionally remote controlled to assist in the smoothness of the unit's operation.

“The ECL-5-135 is designed for a wide variety of aerial construction and maintenance applications,” says Jim Glazer, president of Elliott Equipment. “The fact that this machine is mounted on a conventional chassis, along with its multi-purpose functionality and low-maintenance design provide significant value to the end-user.”
