READING, Pa. - In a move involving 16,500 warranty centers, 6,000 trade accounts and about 800 OEMs, Briggs & Stratton named Exide Corp. the authorized battery supplier to the company's North American service network.
Exide's automotive, commercial, marine and other battery lines are available to the network and its 130 company-owned branches, allowing Briggs & Stratton to have an efficient store-to-door delivery program, the company stated.
As part of the agreement, all automotive and motorcycle batteries will have the Exide label, while lawn mover and garden tractor products will feature the Briggs & Stratton logo.
