Kanga Loaders' new mini skid-steer loader the D800R Radio Controlled model is the solution to working in dangerous situations where operators may be at risk because of unstable underground or trench conditions. The D800R model is based on the Kanga Loaders' 7 Series diesel track machine with a few bonus features to suit dangerous operating conditions fitted with tracks to give improved performance and stability.

The D800R is fully radio controlled, so the operator can drive the machine remotely from a safe distance. This allows the machinery to be used in areas where people would not be safe operating around other plant equipment or where height or space restricts people working.

The machine has been cut down to a height of 40 inches to allow it to get into tight and low areas, without any risk to operators. The unit can be controlled from a distance up to 200 meters away. The D800R has a weight of 2,084 pounds and a lifting capacity of 551 pounds.

According to Brent Matthews, export manager for Kanga Loaders, the company developed the D800R in response to demand for a loader that could be used in hazardous areas.

“It is based on the Kanga Loader, but has been highly modified,” Matthews says. “It is radio controlled and can be operated up to 400 feet away. This makes it ideal for use in mining applications, cleaning up under conveyors, demolition work, and clearing and cleaning up silt in under-road culverts.”
