Sunbelt Rentals, based in Charlotte, N.C., named Brendan Horgan vice president of operations for its newly formed Southeastern region. He has been with the company since 1996, serving most recently as trading manager for Sunbelt's Coastal Atlantic division.

Scott Pollman was named to the board of directors at Common Ground Alliance, an organization devoted to preventing damage to the nation's underground utility infrastructure. Pollman is the director of Subsite electronics and downhole tool operations at The Charles Machine Works in Perry, Okla.

Holt Rental Services, based in San Antonio, made four personnel changes at two of its Cat Rental Stores in Texas. At the Weslaco location, Lamont Jenkins was named outside sales representative, Buster Vicars was named inside sales coordinator, and David Musso was named branch manager. Brandon North was named inside sales coordinator at the Corpus Christi location.

Robert Nardelli was named president and CEO at Home Depot - the nation's No. 1 home-improvement retailer. He will also sit on the Atlanta-based company's board of directors. Nardelli replaces current president and CEO Arthur Blank who will join Bernard Marcus as a co-chairman. Nardelli had been president and CEO of General Electric's power systems unit.

Kevin Deming was named vice president of prime account sales at Windsor Industries in Englewood, Colo. He had been assistant vice president at Ecolab.

Thor Moody was named executive director of the American Society of Concrete Contractors in Farmington Hills, Mich. He was the senior sales/marketing manager at Deslauriers in Bellwood, Ill.

Robert Fein, chairman and CEO of Stone Construction Equipment, Honeoye, N.Y., was elected 2001 chairman of the Construction Industry Manufacturers Association. Other new CIMA officers are first vice chairman Gerard Geraghty, Ingersoll-Rand, Woodcliff Lake, N.J.; second vice chairman Thys de Beer of Nordberg, Milwaukee; treasurer Emil Kucera of MinnPar, Minneapolis; and secretary Dennis Slater, CIMA's full-time president.

Hyundai, its U.S. headquarters in Elk Grove Village, Ill., promoted David Pooley to service training manager from North Central service manager. Tom Novak fills the vacancy created by the promotion. Novak had been the technical coordinator for the service department.

Time Condor of Waco, Texas, named Strom Equipment in La Mirada, Calif., operated by John and Doug Strom, its new manufacturing representative group for Time Condor's product line in Southern California.

William Lasky, president and CEO at JLG Industries in McConnellsburg, Pa., was appointed chairman of the company's board effective upon the retirement of current chairman L. David Black in February.

Lasky came to JLG in December 1999 as president and chief operating officer. He was promoted to president and CEO in September. Before joining the company, he was a senior executive at Dana. He is on the boards of directors of CIMA and the Equipment Manufacturers Institute.

Atlas Copco, the parent company of Rental Service Corp., named Erik Olsson business area controller of the company's Rental Service Business Area, based in Scottsdale, Ariz. He has been with Atlas Copco since 1988, serving most recently as chief financial officer of subsidiary Milwaukee Electric Tool.

Daniel Perry was named president and CEO of Brookfield, Wis.-based Milwaukee Electric Tool, a company within the Atlas Copco Group. He replaces Richard Grove, who retired. Perry has been with the company since 1972, serving most recently as president and general manager of Milwaukee Electric Tool Brand Co.

Textron, based in Providence, R.I., named Ted French executive vice president and chief financial officer, succeeding Stephen Key, who retired. French had been president of financial services and CFO at CNH Global.

McClintock Metal in Woodland, Calif., named Scott Crist product manager at its Cart-Away concrete systems division. He has worked at U-Cart, The Rockery and Marvel Masonry Supply. McClintock also hired Bruce Christensen as sales and marketing manager. He has25 years of sales and marketing experience.

Bob Keyser was named national sales manager at Barreto Manufacturing in La Grande, Ore. He has more than 20 years' experience in the agricultural and lawn and garden industries.

Dick Wilkerson was named executive vice president of the Earthmover Group at Michelin North America in Greenville, S.C. He had been vice president of employee labor relations and director of senior management personnel.

Bil-Jax in Archbold, Ohio, named manufacturer's representative Ray Hayles III of Ray Hayles Sales as its salesman of the year. Ray Hayles Sales is based in Dallas.

Pier Luigi D'Alesio was named sales director at Terex Lifting in Conway, S.C. D'Alesio will focus on the Terexlift material handlers manufactured in Perugia, Italy, and adapted for North America.

Ron Upmeyer was named north-central sales representative at Iowa Mold Tooling in Garner, Iowa. He has been with the company 29 years, most recently as customer service specialist.

Sky Climber, based in Stone Mountain, Ga., made three personnel changes. Ray Searles was named dealer development manager for the northeastern, central and western United States. He had been with Dunlop Mastclimbers. John Boswell was named dealer development manager for the southeastern and south-central United States. He had been with Acrotek. Sky Climber also named Thomas McSorley business development manager. He will work out of the company's office in Belgium.

Gehl, based in West Bend, Wis., named Daniel Keyes vice president - sales and marketing. He had been director of strategic accounts at CNH Global.

FMC, based in Chicago, named William Walter executive vice president of its chemicals business and to its board of directors. He joined the company in 1974, serving most recently as general manager of FMC's Specialty Chemicals Group in Philadelphia.

Godwin Pumps, based in Bridgeport, N.J., announced three additions to its North Carolina sales force. In Charlotte, Randy Adams is the branch manager and Jay Fish is the sales and rental coordinator. In Raleigh/Durham, Robbie Edwards is the operations manager. Combined, the men have almost 36 years' experience in rentals and sales.
