Deere & Co., Moline, Ill., announced that it will be expanding its manufacturing facilities in Augusta, Ga., in response to continued strong demand for compact utility and utility tractors.

The project will include construction of 206,000 square feet in facilities and represents a $23 million investment. The project could add as many as 80 jobs to the existing workforce of 250 people in Augusta, where Deere manufactures 15- to 75-horsepower 4000 and 5000 Series tractors.
